• MARBLES has an interdisciplinary multinational consortium of 14 partners from 10 European countries. Together they will harness the unexplored potential of marine microorganisms as producers of novel antimicrobial agents and as bioprotectants in aqua- and agriculture, using an integrative, ecology-based strategy for bioprospecting.

  • The Steering Committee (SC) is composed of all the beneficiaries and is responsible for the coordination of the research activities from all partners involved in the work packages. The SC will arrange for the timely execution and preparation of deliverables to assure that the objectives are attained.

  • As part of WP7, two external advisory bodies will be set up: the APPLE (Advisory Panel of Policy and Legal Experts) and the PIE (Panel of Industry Experts). These panels serve multiple purposes: they will guide the project in its legal and policy work (APPLE), will guarantee outreach within the policy community (APPLE), will assist with the selection of interesting leads (PIE), will serve as a sounding board towards the larger business community (PIE) and will help with making the business case for MARBLES project results.
