Natural algal communities can inhibit aquaculture pathogens

MARBLES partner Technical University of Denmark (DTU), has published their research that demonstrates bacteria derived from live-feed microalgae are capable of inhibiting fish pathogens. They also discovered that bacterial co-cultures may provide synergistic benefits over monocultures such as probiotics, highlighting their promising potential for applications against infectious disease in aquaculture.
